Description:
A small wetland separated by a spit from Angler's Bay, on the NE corner of Big Spirit Lake.
Habitat:
small marsh surrounded by riparian trees, and a small area of restored prairie west of the wetland. Parking area is on NW corner of the area's grassland.
Directions:
From the intersection with Hwy (9 & 71 about 1.5 miles east of downtown Spirit Lake, turn north on Co. Highway M-56. Follow this as it winds north approximatly 5 1/2 mi. until reaching a curve west on the IA/MN state line. Continue 1/8 mi. west; Trickle Slough is on south side of road.
