Directions: In Johnston in western Polk Co. From I-35/80, take Merle Hay Rd. (the Johnston exit) north a little more than 1/2 mile to Pioneer Parkway. Turn west on Pioneer Parkway and proceed about 1/3 mile to the lake on the south side, adjacent to Iowa Public Television. There are drives on both sides of the lake and a trail around it.
