Maskunky MarshLate summer management of Red Rock Reservoir is conducive to providing extensive shorebird habitat for fall migrants and Oskaloosa is in close proximity to the reservoir. The local Muskunky Marsh has also been the site of some late summer rarities such as the influx of Yellow-crowned Night-Herons in 2021. The weekend should provide some excellent birding opportunities as well as a chance to see old friends and make new ones.
